Pura Paddle is more than an SUP tour service— it’s an extension of the WOW Surf Camp vision. Every board, every paddle, every shared moment on the water opens new doors for connection, mentorship, and ministry.
Through this program, we seek to:

SUP Adventure Tours
Join us for a guided paddle along the stunning Papagayo coastline, where turquoise waters, white-sand coves, and lush green cliffs create a breathtaking backdrop for exploration. Depending on the day’s conditions and your sense of adventure, we’ll set out in search of calm bays, hidden beaches, and marine life like turtles, rays, and—if we’re lucky—passing dolphins or whales. Our experienced guides help you navigate, point out wildlife above and below the surface, and assist with launching and docking. Midway through, we’ll stop to enjoy fresh tropical fruit and refreshments before snorkeling over vibrant reefs teeming with colorful fish. It’s the perfect blend of motion, beauty, and relaxation.

SUP Fishing & Camping
Our SUP Fishing & Camping Experience takes place in Iguanita Wildlife Refuge, a protected bay surrounded by mangroves, tropical forest, and calm, glassy water. Here, we partner with local fishermen who share traditional, sustainable ways to fish directly from your paddleboard. Depending on the catch, we’ll head to shore to cook and enjoy a fresh meal together right on the beach.
For those wanting to stay longer, extend your adventure with an overnight camping experience in this peaceful refuge. Paddle in, set up camp, and spend the evening swimming, fishing, and relaxing under a stunning Papagayo sunset. After a traditional típico dinner by the fire, fall asleep under the stars and wake to the sound of nature before paddling back the next morning.

Surf Lessons and Guide
We bring the same top-level surf instruction from WOW Surf Camp to the calm, welcoming shores of Papagayo. For beginners, our lessons take place at Iguanita, where gentle waves and soft sandy bottoms make for the perfect first experience — safe, scenic, and unforgettable.
For intermediate surfers ready to chase something legendary, we offer guided boat trips to Witch’s Rock, one of Costa Rica’s most iconic surf breaks. Our experienced guides will help you read the waves, position with confidence, and get the most out of every set.
